Stu Rogers
Baseball – 1984-90
From 1984-90, Stu Rogers posted a record of 185-128-3. In that time, he won four MIAA titles, led the Mules to three consecutive Regional tournaments (1988, 1989, 1990) and took his 1989 and 1990 teams to the NCAA Division II World Series in Montgomery, Ala, making him the first coach to take a Central Missouri State baseball team to the D-II Championships. After bowing out in two games in their initial trip to the World Series, Rogers led the Mules to a fifth place finish in 1990. Under Rogers’ leadership, one player (Hall of Fame Sittichoke Huckuntod) was named first-team All-American in 1989 and 1990, while four others were named second- or third-team All-American. A stern taskmaster who expected his student-athletes to excel in all areas, Rogers also mentored six Academic All-Americans.
