Schmidt was a five-time All-American for Jennies Track and Field and a National Champion in the high jump in 2009. One of the best jumpers in UCM history, Schmidt has the fourth-best marks indoors and outdoors in the high jump, with a high of 5-9 ¾. She is also second all-time in the outdoor triple jump and one of only four Jennies to ever jump further than 40 feet at 42-1 ½, and she is fourth in the long jump at 19-5 ½. Schmidt is a three-time USTFCCCA Scholar All-American and the 2009 USTFCCCA Indoor Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
