Brian Pesko
Men's Basketball, 1982-84
Pesko was the starting point guard for the 1984 Mules Basketball National Championship team. He was named Most Outstanding Player of the regional tournament that year, even after being released from the hospital two hours before tip-off of the regional championship game. He scored 55 points at the Final Four, including a career-high 30 in the semifinal win over North Alabama and 25 in the championship game win over St. Augustine's, earning all-tournament team honors. He ranks ninth all-time at UCM with 263 career assists, while his 160 assists during the 1983-84 season are the fifth most in a single season in school history. During his two years in a Central Missouri uniform the Mules went 52-10.
