In High School: Messenger was named the 2023 Conference Most Valuable Player and is a two-time First Team All-Area and All-Conference selection for head coach Amanda Hicks at Belvidere North... Bree led the Blue Thunder in kills, aces, and digs this season and was named to the 2023 Autumn Fest All-Tournament team... In 2021, Messenger helped Belvidere North to an Illinois state championship runner up finish... Bree played for head coach Eric Schultze for VC United and has been a two-time selection of the JVA Ultra Ankle Watchlist and is the 29th best recruit in Illinois for 2024 according to Prep Dig Illinois... Along with her accomplishments on the court, Messenger has also lettered in diving and was a conference champion pole vaulter.
