MARYVILLE, Mo. -- University of Central Missouri track & field opened the 2025 MIAA Indoor Championships with a pair of multi-event student-athletes competing Friday, Feb. 28, inside Hughes Fieldhouse on the Northwest Missouri State University campus.
The Mules and Jennies will continue competition in the MIAA Indoor Championships Saturday, March 1.
In the women's indoor pentathlon, the Jennies'
Marah Klover finished eighth with a final point total of 2,952. Klover finished fourth in the high jump with a 1.55m (5-01.00), sixth in the 800m run with a time of 2:34.31, eighth in the shot put with a personal-best 9.94m (32-07.50), 10th in the long jump at 4.49m (14-08.75) and 11th in the 60m hurdles with a personal-best time of 10.16.
In the men's heptathlon, the Mules'
Jesus Flores sits in sixth place with 2,677 points with four of seven events completed. Flores placed fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.89m (6-02.25), seventh in both the long jump (6.37m/20-10.75) and shot put (personal-best 10.88m/35-08.50), and eighth in the 60m dash with a personal-best time of 7.34.
The heptathlon will wrap up Saturday with the 60m hurdles, pole vault and 1,000m run.
