CRETE, Neb. – UCM Track & Field had five student-athletes compete in the Happy Holidays Multi-Event Meet Sunday, Dec. 8, and Monday, Dec. 9, on the Doane University campus in Crete, Neb.
In the indoor pentathlon,
Marah Klover finished fourth, leading the Jennies, posting a personal-best score of 2,970 points. She finished with personal bests in the 60m hurdles (10.64), high jump (1.65m/5-05.00), shot put (9.26m/30-04.75) and long jump (4.67m/15-04.00) and had an 800m run time of 2:35.55.

Joey Hettinger placed sixth, tallying a personal-best point total of 2,792. She recorded personal-best performances in the 60m hurdles (9.62), shot put (8.23m/27-00), long jump (5.03m/16-06.00) and 800m run (3:03.11) and compiled a mark of 1.56m (5-01.25) in the high jump.
In the heptathlon,
Logan Grover led the Mules, placing third with a personal-best tally of 4,712 points. Grover had personal bests in the 60m dash (7.10), shot put (13.46m/44-02.00), high jump (1.94m (6-04.25) and 60m hurdles (9.23). He added a mark of 6.57m (21-06.75) in the long jump and 3.35m (10-11.75) in the pole vault and compiled a time of 3:10.14 in the 1,000m run.
Jesus Flores was fourth with a personal-best score of 4,382 points while
Carter Bell placed seventh with 4,087 points. Flores tallied personal bests in the 60m dash (7.54), shot put (9.96m/32-08.25), high jump (1.91m/06-3.25), 60m hurdles (8.91), pole vault (3.25m/10-08.00) and 1,000m run (2:58.22) and added a mark of 6.11m (20-05.00) in the long jump.
Carter Bell finished seventh with a personal-best tally of 4,087 points. He compiled personal bests in the 60m dash (7.15), shot put (10.86m/35-07.75), 60m hurdles (9.52), pole vault (2.85m/9-04.25) and 1,000m run (3:41.18) and posted marks of 6.73m (22-1) in the long jump and 1.88m (6-2.00) in the high jump.
The Mules and Jennies are scheduled to return to action Jan. 24, hosting the UCM Invitational inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.Â
