LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- No. 24-ranked Central Missouri Mules Wrestling split matches against Ouachita Baptist and Little Rock Sunday, Nov. 3. The Mules dominated No. 25 Ouachita Baptist, 29-12, before dropping a 32-6 decision against Little Rock.
In the victory over the 25th-ranked Ouachita Baptist Tigers,
Jakason Burks picked up the win over Shad Cano by 13-2 major decision at 125 pounds to give the Mules four points to start the match.
Trey Dillow won a 4-1 decision over Hudson Herring, adding three points to the team score at 141-pounds.
149-pounder
Garrett Lyons also had a bonus-point victory, earning a 14-3 major decision over Ouachita's Caleb Andrews.
Another six points came from
Anthony Erickson and No. 11-ranked
John Ridle. Erickson posted a 8-7 decision over Samuel Schmidt from riding time at 165-pounds while Ridle picked a 4-2 decision against Jaylon Otero at 157-pounds.
No. 4-ranked
Damon Ashworth, at 184-pounds, won by fall against Henry Martin just 26 seconds into his match, tallying six more points for the Mules.
197-pounder
Brayden Dillow earned an 8-5, sudden victory-1 decision, putting the Mules at 26-12.
To win the final match, heavy weight
Torin Forsyth won by decision against RJ Hild, 10-6.
Against Little Rock, Jakason Burkes (125 pounds) and
Trey Dillow (141 pounds) earned UCM's lone victories in the dual.
