2025 NCAA-II Wrestling Championships

James Wright all punched their ticket to represent No. 15 Mules wrestling at the 2025 NCAA-II Wrestling Championships Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15, at Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis, Ind.
Burks (24-7), a native of Omaha, Neb. who is ranked No. 1 in the latest NWCA Individual Rankings, will represent the Mules at 125-pounds as the No. 1 seed and is set to face St. Cloud State's Conor Knopick (17-5) in the first round. Burks was named to the All-MIAA Second Team before he punched his ticket with a first-place finish at the NCAA-II Super Region IV tournament, upsetting previously No. 1-ranked Studd Morris of Central Oklahoma in the championship match.
Wright (14-14), of Algonquin, Ill., earned his way into the national tournament finishing third at the NCAA-II Super Region IV tournament. He will represent the Mules at 133-pounds facing University of Mary's Reece Barnhardt (26-3) in the first round.
Ridle (24-6), of West Dundee, Ill., who is ranked No. 8 in the latest NWCA Individual Rankings, will represent the Mules at 157 pounds and will face the winner of a preliminary round between University of Mary's Kaden Renner (14-8) and Lander University's Noah Roulo (8-3). Ridle was named to the All-MIAA Second Team before he punched his ticket after finishing runner-up at the NCAA-II Super Region IV tournament. This will be Ridle's second appearance at the NCAA-II National Championship after finishing fourth in 2022 and All-American accolades.
Ashworth (22-7), a native of Excelsior Springs, Mo., who is ranked No. 10 in the latest NWCA Individual Rankings, will represent the Mules at 184-pounds and will face Newberry's Andrew Reed (17-7) in the first round. Ashworth punched his ticket after a runner-up finish at the NCAA-II Super Region IV. This will be Ashworth's second apperance at the NCAA-II National Championship after finishing fifth in 2024 and All-American accolades.
