• Mules wrestling is on the road this week for a pair of MIAA match ups against more ranked competition.
• The second-ranked Lopers are off to a 7-3 start to the 2020-21 season. Thursday night's dual will be UNK's first league dual of the season.
• The Lopers have seven ranked wrestlers. Jost Portillo is the top-ranked 125 pounder in Division II, Wesley Dawkins is ranked No. 2 at 133, Same Turner is ranked No. 4 at 149, Jacob Wasser is ranked No. 9 at 157, Matt Malcom is ranked No. 2 at 165, Terrell Garraway is ranked No. 5 at 174, and Joseph Reimers is ranked No. 7 at 197 pounds.
• No. 19 Fort Hays State will also be opening MIAA competition against the Mules. The Tigers are currently 1-6 and have two ranked wrestlers. Mason Turner is ranked No. 2 at 125 pounds and AJ Cooper is ranked No. 9 at 285 pounds.

• Mules wrestling is off to a 0-4 start to the season with three losses to top-10 nationally ranked competition.
• The Mules were selected fifth with four points in the MIAA Coaches Preseason Poll.
• Ranked third in the Division II, Central Oklahoma is at the top of the coaches poll with 16 points and four first-place votes while the second-ranked Lopers of Nebraska-Kearney came in behind the Bronchos with 13 points and one first-place vote. Fort Hays State was listed third with 10 points and Newman was fourth with seven points,
• Central Missouri returned eight wrestlers from its 2019-20 roster and welcomed five freshman and three transfers to this season's squad.
• Goin and Ridle are UCM's leading returners with 12 wins from last season.
• Hazen returns with the best winning percentage from last season with a 10-5 record for a .778 winning percentage
