WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Jan. 16, 2020) - Central Missouri Wrestling suffered a 44-0 loss to the fourth-ranked Lopers of Nebraska-Kearney Thursday night in the Multipurpose Building.
Beginning the night at 197 pounds, UNK's Andrew Demos defeated
Zachary Hazen in a 5-3 decision. The Lopers picked up another decision victory in the heavyweight match as second-ranked Jarrod Hinricks defeated
Chase Miller 3-0. Central Missouri wrestled open at 125 pounds allowed UNK's top-ranked 125 pounder Josh Portillo to win by forfeit. At 133 pounds
John Feeney fell to Wesley Dawkins in 1:49 to give the Lopers an 18-0 advantage.Â
Ranked 12th in the nation at 141 pounds, Joe Killingsworth defeated
Conner Dalton in a 12-1 major decision.
Emmett Kuntz lost a close 8-7 decision against Teontae Wilson at 149 pounds, while
Austin Morgan lost a 3-0 decision to Jacob Wasser at 157 pounds. At 174 pounds,
John Ridle faced the top-ranked division II 165 pounder Matt Malcom. Malcom defeated Ridle in the second period with a 17-2 decision. Talon Sietz recorded the fasted fall of the night in 45 seconds over
Jack Goin at 174 pounds. In the final match of the evening,
Dominique Hampton suffered a 16-0 technical fall to UNK's Anthony Mancini.Â
Mules Wrestling is now 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the MIAA.Â
