• Central Missouri will first face-off against Fort Hays State on Wednesday night in UCM's Recreation Center.
• The Tigers were in Colorado this past weekend competing in the Tracy Borah Duals. Hays lost a close 30-22 dual to No. 22 Colorado Mese, then suffered another loss to No. 23 Western Colorado 25-18. The Tigers picked up one win before making the trip back to the Midwest with a 28-18 victory over New Mexico Highlands. Tigers Brandon Ball (141), Anthony Scantlin (149), Aryus Jones (184) and A.J. Cooper (285) each finished the weekend undefeated.
• Thursday night the Mules return to the Multipurpose Building to take on the No. 4 Lopers.
• Nebraska-Kearney competed in the NWCA National Duals this past weekend. After finishing 2-0 on opening day, the No. 4 Lopers fell to fifth-ranked McKendree, 24-15, and sixth-ranked Central Oklahoma, 18-13, to place fourth at the 2020 NWCA Multi-Division National Duals on Saturday in Louisville, Ky.
• The Mules wre also busy this past weekend competing in Hastings' Cusatis Open. The Mules saw a total of six place winners lead by Hampton and Conner with two second-place finishes at 184 and 141 pounds.
• Central Missouri is off to a 0-2 in dual competition. Kuntz and Hampton are the only Mules who've recorded dual victories. Kuntz defeated Mizzou's Phyllip Deloach in a 7-5 sudden victory to score UCM's only points against the Tigers. Hampton defeated Lindenwood's Patrick Kristin in a 15-5 major decision victory to prevent the shutout against the No.16 Lions.
• Feeney leads the Mules so far this season with a record of 15-9 while Hampton is close behind with a record of 14-9.
Mules Feed:
• Feeney was UCM's only national qualifier last season at 133 pounds. Feeney took second in the 2019 NCAA Super Regional as the Mules earned a seventh place team finish.
• During the 2018-19 season, UCM had eight place-winners in regular season tournaments and went 2-7 in dual matches.
• Last season academically, the Mules were in the top-20 nationally in the NWCA Academic Poll and two student-athletes,
Allan Person and Hampton earned MIAA Academic Excellence Awards.
