WARRENSBURG, MO. (Jan. 9) - Central Missouri competed in their second dual of the season against Newman University. Newman defeated the Mules 39-9, and fall to 0-2 in the MIAA.
Mules were first on the board when
Justin Mitchell took the 125-pound match by forfeit to lead Newman 6-0. For the next six matches however the Newman Jets would take over to lead the Mules 30-6. However,
Dakota Thevel, who placed third last week, had a competitive day at 141 pounds falling to Kevin Kissane by decision 22-16.
Dominique Hampton came in at 184-pounds and fought hard to take down Ivan Balavage by decision 6-5, adding points to the board for the Mules to trail 33-9.
