EDMOND, Okla. (Jan. 10, 2018)-- Central Missouri Mules had a rough night on the road in their second MIAA dual of the season as they fell, 41-3, to the No. 13-ranked Central Bronchos. The loss is drops the Mules to 3-6 overall and 1-1 in the the MIAA.

Jesse Reser picked up the lone win for the Mules at 165 pounds. Since his return at the beginning of the New Year, Reser is now 5-0 on the season with all of his wins coming in dual competition.

UCM found itself in early 12-0 deficit to UCO (7-2, 2-0 MIAA) as they forfeited at both 125 pounds and 133 pounds for the second straight dual. At 141 pounds, Zachary Schridde dropped a 5-1 decision, putting UCM's deficit at 15-0.

Kaleb Warner had a chance to get the Mules on the board and went the full three periods with Will Steltzlen who is ranked seventh nationally at 149 pounds. Steltzlen held on a close 3-2 win by decision and gave the Bronchos a commanding 18-0 lead. The struggles continued for the Mules as Dakota Huss gave up a 16-0 technical fall at 157 pounds in 4:43.

The Bronchos led 23-0 at the midway point of the dual and looked to score the shutout, but Reser got the Mules on the board. He trailed 4-1 early in the first period to Mason Thomspon, but outscored him 7-1 the rest of the match to win via a 11-5 decision.

Allan Person dropped a 15-2 major decision at 174 pounds, while Martin Brunnert was shutout dropping an 18-0 tech fall in 4:19. Dominique Hampton fell via an 8-1 decision and Noah McGinnis was pinned in 2:25 at 285 pounds.

The Mules continue dual competition this Saturday, Jan. 13, at the UNK Midwest Duals. UCM will take on three teams in Colorado Mesa, Mary, and Colorado School of Mines. Action gets started at 9 a.m.
