Central Missouri wrestling travels to Hays, Kan. and Kearney, Neb. to wrap up the regular season. The Mules will face No. 6 Fort Hays State at 7 p.m. on Thursday, and No. 2 Nebraska-Kearney at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The Mules split their duals last week, falling to Central Oklahoma (12-4, 4-1 MIAA) then winning over Newman (0-10, 0-4 MIAA). Two Mules walked away from the dual against the Bronchos with a win for a final score of 31-6, in Edmond Okla. on Wednesday. Cagnina beat No. 1 Jordan Basks with a 10-4 decision, in their third match up of the season, to make Cagnina 27-2 this season. Basks dealt Cagnina his only two losses earlier in the season. Loethen beat Aylor with a 1-0 decision, Loethen is now 13-4 this season.
The next day the Mules were in Wichita, Kan. taking on Newman.
Malacai Collins won the Mules their first team points of the dual with a 8-3 decision over Dustin Reed. Central Missouri dropped the second match, but then had back-to-back pins to take a 15-3 lead over the Jets.
Eric Mateo pinned Wyatt Wade at 2:02, and Zach Duwe fell to Cagnina at 2:41. The Bronchos won their final points of the dual, before the Mules won five straight to finish the match at 42-6. Mike Boyd won with a 2-1 decision over Michael Kubik, and
Todd Brier pinned Steven Crooksley at 1:20. Loethen, Josh Ploof, and
Jacob Clark all earned six for the Mules with a forfeit.
2013-2014 Season Leaders
Cagnina (141) currently has the most wins on the Mules squad (27). He is one of two Mules to remain undefeated in duals with a 10-0 record and is 6-2 record against ranked opponents. Cagnina has been ranked in every Division II Coaches Poll since the start of the season. He began the season at the No. 8 spot, and worked his way up to No.3 in the nation, and is the only wrestler on the UCM team to be ranked in every poll this season. Cagnina is first on the UCM All-Time Leaders list for most wins by major decision in a single season (11). Cagnina has earned the most team points for the Mules this season (43), and is tied for first in wins by technical fall (2).
Ty Loethen (165) is also undefeated in duals with a 7-0 record and is 13-4 overall this season. He has the fastest fall on the team (0:25), and is tied for most wins by techinal fall (2). Loethen is third in team points earned this season (35)
Eric Mateo (141) has the third highest win total on the Mules squad, and has a 21-6 overall record with a 9-1 dual record. Mateo has the most wins by fall (10), and the second fastest fall on the team (0:46).
Josh Thomson (165) has a 20-10 overall record, and is 5-3 in duals. Thomson has the fifth fastest fall on the team (0:60), and is fourth in wins by major decision (3).
Todd Brier (197) is 19-12 this season, and 6-3 in duals. He is fourth on the Mules in team points earned (3) and second in wins by fall (9). He also has the second fastest fall on the team (0:49).
Malacai Collins (125) is fifth in team points earned (23) and has the fourth fastest fall of the season (0:57). Collins is 13-8, and 4-3 in duals this season.
Hunter Neighbors (133) is second in total wins this season, and has a 22-11 overall record, 4-2 dual record. He is third in wins by fall (8), and is tied for first in most wins by technical fall (2). He is also second in most wins by major decision (5).
