Matt Howdeshell announced Wednesday, March 19, that current Academic & Compliance Coordinator
Bree Heathscott has been promoted to the department's new Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Success and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
In her elevated role, Heathscott will serve as the primary NIL contact for internal and external stakeholders, including student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, coaches, staff, donors, corporate partners, local businesses and NIL vendors to ensure accordance with applicable university, department, state, federal and NCAA guidelines.
Additionally, Heathscott will research, evaluate, advise and make recommendations for future NIL growth and serve as a member of the athletics department administrative leadership team.
A native of Machesney Park, Ill., Heathscott graduated from Central Missouri with a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2019 and received her Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in management and organizational leadership from UCM in 2023.
She is a former Jennies bowling student-athlete and earned Second Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) honors in 2024. In addition, she was a recipient of the 2024 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, earned National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Honors, and was the MVP of the 2017 Jennies Bowling MIAA Championship team and a Second Team All-MIAA honoree in 2017.
