KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Jennies basketball's
Reese Schaaf and
Taylor Weishaar both received All-MIAA recognition for their performances on the court during the 2024-25 regular season, the conference office announced Tuesday, March 4.
Schaaf was named the conference's Co-Newcomer of the Year and a Second Team All-MIAA honoree while Weishaar was an Honorable Mention All-MIAA selection.
Schaaf, a junior guard/forward, leads the MIAA in both scoring and rebounding through 30 games with 18 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. In addition, she ranks third in the conference in free-throw percentage at 83.7 percent and fifth in field goal percentage at 50 percent. The El Dorado Springs, Mo., native also leads the MIAA and ranks seventh in all of NCAA Division II with 16 double-doubles on the season.
A freshman guard/forward from Wathena, Kan., Weishaar ranks second on the team and is in the top 20 of the conference in scoring with 12.8 points per game. She leads the MIAA in blocks with 2.1 blocks per game and is seventh in the league in rebounding with 7.4 rebounds per game. Weishaar is also in the top 20 of the conference in free-throw percentage at 71.1 percent.
The Jennies are the seven seed in the MIAA Women's Basketball Championship presented by Southern Bank and are scheduled to face 10th-seeded Emporia State in a first round game Wednesday, March 5, at 8:15 p.m. inside historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City, Mo.
