JOPLIN, Mo. – Cooper Palmer finished 11th and
Cosmas Kiprop placed 14th leading University of Central Missouri Cross Country at the 2024 NCAA-II Central Region Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin.
Palmer and Kiprop will find out Monday, Nov. 11, it they earned an at-large selection to the 2024 NCAA-II Cross Country Championships in Sacramento, Calif., on Nov. 23.
Palmer ran 30:51.71 for his 11th place finish while Kiprop posted a 10K personal-best time of 30:53.57 to place 14th.
Luke Engel also finished in the top 100 for the Mules, running 32:17.54 to place 70th.
As a team, the Mules placed 11th with 323 points. East Central won the men's meet with 71 points.
For the Jennies,
Abigael Kimurgor posted a top 100 finish, placing 85th with a time of 22:54.52. Augustana (S.D.) captured the women's regional title with 82 points.
