Mules Basketball Falls to #21 Northwest Missouri Thursday Night

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Mules (9-8, 4-7) fell to No. 21 Northwest Missouri Bearcats (14-4, 10-2) by a final score of 76-54 on Thursday night inside the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.     
 
The Bearcats began the contest on an 11-4 run and never relinquished, capturing their 14th win of the season led by guard Bennett Stritz' game-high 22 points, four assists, three rebounds, and two steals respectively.
 
The Mules had two players finish the contest in double figures including guard Corey Skillman Jr. who had a career-high 17 points, going a perfect 7-of-7 from the field knocking down two shots from beyond the arc adding a career-high two steals for good measure.
 
Forward Tim Jordan Jr. had 16 points going 7-of-12 from the field highlighted by a career-high two triples while redshirt senior Caleb Nero had six points and two rebounds respectively.

Guard Jalen Knott (two rebounds and two steals) and redshirt senior Keith Kiner III each had five points on the night. Guard Jordan Hayes had four points, three assists, and three rebounds while junior Yafet Haile grabbed a team-best four rebounds adding a career-high two assists for good measure.
 
Central Missouri returns to the court on Saturday, Jan. 27, as they continue MIAA play against No. 22 Missouri Western Griffons with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m. inside the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
