SCENE SETTER
• No. 8 University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer is scheduled to travel to Topeka, Kan., for an MIAA match at Washburn Friday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. prior to trekking to Emporia, Kan., for a conference match against No. 15 Emporia State Sunday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m.
• The Jennies are coming off of 4-2 victory against Fort Hays State on Friday, Oct. 15, and a 4-1 win against Nebraska Kearney on Sunday, Oct. 17, at the South Recreation Complex.
Kassie Newsom (2) and Ashleigh Martin (2) scored the goals for the Jennies in the win over the Tigers Oct. 15, with Newsom also dishing out two assists. Caroline Cole also compiled an assist.
• In the victory over the Lopers Oct. 17, Lexi Ruf, Newsom, Jordan Austin, and Lindsay Edmonds scored UCM goals with Ashleigh Martin, Peyton Wagoner, and Caroline Cole each posting assists, respectively.
• The Jennies are ranked 8th in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll announced on Oct. 19.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Washburn: UCM leads 23-5-1 against Washburn
 
Last meeting: The Jennies and the Ichabods met twice in 2019, with UCM winning the first match, 1-0, in Warrensburg. The second meeting was in the quarterfinals of the MIAA tournament, with Central Missouri earning a 2-1 victory at the South Recreation Complex.

Emporia State: UCM leads 25-4-2 against Emporia State
 
Last Meeting: The Jennies and the Hornets met once in 2019 in Warrensburg with UCM wins 3-2 overtime match.

Washburn
• Washburn has an overall record of 7-4-2 and 3-3-1 MIAA mark entering the weekend.
• The Ichabods dropped a 0-1 decision to Central Oklahoma on Oct. 17 in their last match.
• Tera Lynch has contributed seven goals, four assists, 18 points, and 37 shots, leading Washburn after 13 matches, while Khloe Schuckman has six goals, one assist, 13 points, and 33 shots.
• Goalkeeper Raegan Wells has played in 13 matches, tallying 60 saves, 16 goals allowed, and a 1.240 goals-against average.
• Davy Phillips is in his fifth season as Washburn's head coach.

Emporia State
• Emporia State has an overall record of 12-1-1 and an MIAA tallied of 6-1-0 entering the weekend.
• The Hornets won a 2-1 decision to Newman on Oct. 17 in their last match.
• Mackenzie Dimarco has contributed 14 goals, 28 points, and 71 shots to lead Emporia State after 14 matches while, Hannah Woolery has seven goals, four assist, 18 points, and 45 shots.
• Goalkeeper Jillian Patton has played in 14 games, posting 29 saves, 13 goals allowed, and a 1.053 goals-against average.
• Bryan Sailer is in his eleventh season as Emporia State's head coach.
 
JENNIES IN THE MIAA STATISTICS
• Through 14 matches, Kassie Newsom leads the MIAA in points (36), goals (14) and assists (8), while Sydney Leslie is fourth in the conference in shots (47), 10th in shots on goal (20) and ninth in goals (6).
• In the latest MIAA goalkeeping statistics, Lindsey Johnson is sixth in GAA (1.16)
 and saves (60). She is third in shutouts per match (.286)
 
BACK-TO-BACK WEEKLY HONORS
Kassie Newsom earned her third consecutive MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week honor
with her performance during the week of Oct. 11-17.
• Newsom recorded three goals, two assists, eight points, 16 shots, and seven shots-on-goal to lead UCM to a 4-2 win over Fort Hays State on Oct. 15, and a 4-1 victory over Nebraska Kearney on Oct.10.
• Newsom netted two goals and dished out two assists for six points in Central Missouri's 4-2 win over Fort Hays State Oct. 15 before tallying a goal in UCM's 4-1 victory against Nebraska Kearney Oct. 17. .
 
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
• Dating back to the 2016 season, the Jennies are 37-1-1 at Jennies Field and have allowed just 25 goals in that span.
• The Jennies have outscored opponents 141-22 in goals at home since 2016.
• All-time at Jennies Field, UCM is 199-34-9. Under head coach Lewis Theobald, the Jennies are 136-13-8 at home and have posted undefeated home records five times.
 
ROAD WARRIORS
In 2021, the Jennies are 6-0-1 on the road.
• The Jennies have outscored their opponents away from the South Recreation Complex this season, 7-2.
• Under Theobald, UCM is 142-13-9 in road games in his 15th seasons of play.
 
BRINGING HOME THE HARDWARE
• In 2019, the Jennies won their 11th MIAA regular season championship in the last 13 seasons.
• The Jennies had nine All-MIAA honorees in 2019 including returning goalkeeper Lindsey Johnson, who was the conference Goalkeeper of the year, and returners Kassie Newsom, Nayeli Gallo, Macy Ruffalo, and Cassie Forcellini.
• Johnson was also a second team D2CCA-All Central Region Team selection.
 
CAREER MILESTONE WATCH
Lindsey Johnson enters the week ranked second in career saves with 217. She is also in the top-10 in saves per game (4.29), goals-against average (1.16), and save percentage (.789).
