Leading Off
• Central Missouri is back on the field for a doubleheader against Rogers State.
• The Hillcats defeated Central Missouri last weekend in UCM's second game of the season.
• The Jennies are coming off of a 4-2 trip to Conway and Russellville, Ark. to start their season.
• With the doubleheader against William Jewell being pushed back, these are the Jennies only scheduled games until March 5. The new home opener is scheduled for March 5 against Truman State.Â
• Central Missouri was picked to finish third in the 2019 MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll. The Jennies tallied 141 points in the poll.
• 2019 will mark the 48th season of Jennies softball. It will also be the 13th season under the direction of Head Coach

• The first time Coach Anderson faced Rogers State was last weekend in a 10-0 loss in Conway, Ark. She'll look for her first win against the Hillcats this week.Â
Last Time Out
• Central Missouri went 4-2 to start the season last weekend in Arkansas. They started out with a win over MIAA foe Nebraska-Kearney in a nonconference game, and also defeated Minnesota State 2-0. UCM concluded the weekend with a doubleheader sweep of Wisconsin-Parkside 9-5, 8-6.

• Central Missouri went 9-10 in road games last season.

Pitching Depth
• Central Missouri had six pitchers see action last weekend in Arkansas. Four different Jennies started a game and five came out of the bullpen.
• There may be more defined roles for Jennies pitchers this season and Coach Anderson may utilize her bullpen more this year.Â

Alexa Bradley, the only Jennies with multiple starts this season, is experienced coming out of the pen with six career saves.Â
Schedule Changes
• It's softball season, so that means there must be schedule changes. This doubleheader with Rogers State was originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20, before being pushed back to Thursday. UCM has also already altered their plans for their home opener, preemptively moving their doubleheader with William Jewell from February 27 to March 27.Â

• So far this season 13 different Jennies have started in the field and 14 have taken a turn at bat.

• One of the most consistent Jennies the last three years has been pitcher
Alexa Bradley. Bradley is a groundball specialist who is at it again this season. Of her first 56 outs recorded, 36 have been ground outs. That's a 64% ground ball out rate, which is right in line with her career average.Â
Around the MIAA
• Now that the Jennies and Lindenwood have started their seasons, all 14 teams have played at least two games.
• All are also scheduled to be in action this week.
• Central Oklahoma has the most wins on the year with 13. No other team has more than seven.
• Only five of the 14 MIAA teams have a winning record at this point in the season.Â

Scouting the Opposition
Rogers State
• The Hillcats are 11-4 to start the season and have won four straight.
• The four-game winning streak started with a 10-0 win over Central Missouri last Saturday in Conway, Ark.
• Rogers State is scheduled to join the MIAA starting in 2020, so the Jennies are getting a good look at a future opponent.
• At the plate, Allie McFetridge leads the squad hitting .378. She's one of three Hillcats with 17 hits, along with Mikayla Waggnor and Danielle Day.
• Day has supplied plenty of pop with six home runs and 22 RBI.
• She isn't the only one hitting the long ball as the Hillcats have smacked 18 home runs this season and have a .497 team slugging percentage. They also have 18 doubles and three triples.
• On the bases, Rogers State is 6-9 in stolen base attempts.Â
• The Hillcats are helping our their pitching staff by making plays in the field. RSU is averaging fewer than one error per game and have a .967 fielding percentage.
• Andrea Morales has started six games and sports a 1.62 ERA and a 7-2 record. She's already struck out 73 in 52 innings.
• Bailey Killough has been the Hillcats other go-to starter. She leads the team with eight starts and is 3-2 with a 3.31 ERA. She pitches more to contact with just 18 strikeouts and has allowed 35 hits in 36 innings.
• With their loss last weekend, the Jennies are 1-1 all-time against Rogers State. The first time these two met was back in 2006, a, 8-1 win for the Jennies.Â
