In net, junior goalkeeper

The Jennies applied defensive pressure in the first half allowing only four shots by the Mustangs. Central Missouri had opportunites to score with three shots on goal in the first half, but could not connect. They entered halftime tied at zero.
In the second half the Jennies picked up the pace taking 17 shots total and allowed only one. Despite the high number of shots the Jennies remained scoreless throughout most of the half. Just over five minutes later, Modiri scored her first goal of the season, netting the ball past the goalkeeper's hands to put the Jennies up 2-0 and seal their third win of the season.
The Jennies will travel to North Dakota on Saturday, Sept. 10 to take on Northern Sun foe Minot State. The Jennies faced Minot State twice in 2015, defeating them both times. This will be the sixth overall meeting between the two programs. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
