WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Jennies enter the MIAA Tournament up one spot to No. 9 in the latest NSCAA poll. The Jens are coming off of a pair of 1-0 victories on the road over Lindenwood and Missouri Western.
After winning their sixth consecutive, and eighth overall, MIAA Regular Season Championship the Jennies look to repeat as MIAA Tournament champions. The Jennies also won the title in 2011. The Jens two MIAA Tournament Championships are the most of any school since the MIAA began sponsoring an MIAA tournament for women's soccer. This will be the first time the two teams have met in the MIAA Tournament.
If the Jennies beat Washburn they will advance to the MIAA Semifinals and host the winner of the Southwest Baptist at Fort Hays State game.
Series HistoryWashburn: UCM leads 16-5-1The Jens have won the previous eight games in the series, and 11 of the last 12. The Ichabods have only won in Warrensburg twice, once in 2005 with a 2-0 win, and again in 2006 in a 1-0 victory. These two teams met in the regular season where the Jennies pulled out a 1-0 victory over the Ichabods. The victory marked the 10th time the Jens have shutout the Ichabods in the series. UCM has outscored Washburn 38-13 overall in the series. The last time Washburn held a lead in a game between the two schools was in the 76th minute of their matchup on September 20, 2012. The Jennies went on to score three goals in the final 15 minutes for a 3-1 victory.
Scouting the CompetitionWashburn:
• The Ichabods enter the MIAA tournament 3-2-3 overall when playing on the road, and 3-2-2 on the road against MIAA teams.
• Washburn is led by freshman forward Paige Swanson who leads the team in points with 10 and goals with four. She is also tied for second on the team in assists with two.
• Although Washburn has been outscored 20-15 this season, they have outscored opponents in overtime 1-0.
• Kaitlin Minnich has played all 1738 minutes in goal for the Ichabods this season. The sophomore goalkeeper has recorded 82 saves, a 1.04 goals against average, and a .804 save percentage so far this season.
• Washburn ranks last in the MIAA in goals scored and shots taken with 15 goals on 152 shots. Washburn also ranks last in corner kicks taken with 56.
• The Ichabod's biggest win this season was a 1-0 win over Missouri Western at home.
• The most goals the Ichabod's have scored in a game this season is three in a 3-1 win over Nebraska-Kearney.
• The Ichabods missed the MIAA Tournament last season.
Goals, Goals and More Goals• UCM is 10th in total goals scored in NCAA Division II, and first in the MIAA with 55.

• The Jens have scored 55 goals this season. The record for most goals scored in a season is 63, which was set during the 2011 season, and matched in the 2014 season.
Defense Wins Championships•
Ana Dilkes' .922 save percentage is tops in the MIAA, and
second-best in NCAA Division II. Her 0.29 goals against average are also tops in the MIAA and ranks fourth in NCAA Division II. The Jens rank first in the MIAA in goals against average, and fourth in NCAA Division II with 0.33 goals allowed per game.
• The Jennies are fourth in NCAA Division II in shutout percentage with a .722 percentage. UCM has recorded shutouts in 13 of their 18 games this year.
• The Jens have only given up six goals all season. The record for the fewest goals allowed in a season is nine, which was set in 1998. The least amount of goals allowed in a season under coach Theobald is 11, which was accomplished by the 2010 team.
