WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Jennies enter the NCAA Tournament at No. 8 in the latest NSCAA poll. The Jens are coming off of their second consecutive MIAA Tournament Championship with a 2-1 win over Washburn, a 3-2 overtime win against Fort Hays State, and a 1-0 overtime win over Northeastern State.
The Jennies received a bye in the first round and will play the winner of the Minot State vs. Winona State game on Sunday at 1 p.m in the round of 32. UCM won the Central Region last season, but fell 3-1 to the eventual National Champions Grand Valley State in the Elite Eight.
Series HistoryMinot State: UCM leads 3-0-1The Jennies have shutout the Beavers in all four previous matchups, and have outscored them 4-0. The matchup will mark the third time UCM has played host to Minot State. The Jens won the last game between the two in Warrensburg 1-0 earlier this season.
Winona State: UCM leads 4-1-1The Jens have outscored the Warriors 9-6 overall, and 8-6 when playing in Warrensburg in the series. The two teams last faced off in 2013 in Winona, Minnesota where the teams played to a 0-0 draw. UCM leads the series 3-1-0 when the teams meet up in Warrensburg.
Scouting the CompetitionMinot State:• Minot State is 8-1-1 overall on the road this season and 0-1 when playing at a neutral site. They are 2-1-0 against MIAA teams on the road this season. Their only loss on the road this season came against Central Missouri earlier this year. Their one neutral site loss came against Augustana in the NSIC Tournament.
• The Beavers have won four of their last five games.
• Minot State is led in goals and points by Ninfa Ramirez. She has 15 goals and 34 points this season. She is also second on the team in assists with four.
• Senior goalkeeper Celene Johnson has started 17 games for the Beavers, and played in 19 games. She has recorded 41 saves and has a 0.85 goals against average with a .745 save percentage.
• Minot State finished third in the NSIC in goals scored with 37. They finished tied for third with Winona State in the NSIC in goals allowed with 15.
• Minot State has not made the NCAA Tournament since the 2012 season.
Winona State:• Winona State is 5-2-2 on the road this season, and 0-1 when playing at a neutral site. The Warriors are 1-0 against MIAA teams this season as they beat Fort Hays State 1-0 at home early in the season.
• Freshman midfielder Abby Bohanski leads the team in goals with 11, assists with five, and points with 27.
• The Warriors are 7-2-3 in their last 12 games.
• Winona State finished fourth in the NSIC in goals allowed this season with 15.
• Winona State has outscored opponents 24-15 this season, including a 2-0 advantage in overtime games.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Oleson has played the entire season in goal for the Warriors. She has recorded 77 saves and has a .837 save percentage and a 0.68 goals against average.

Defense Wins Championships•
Ana Dilkes' .896 save percentage is tops in the MIAA, and
ranks fifth in Division II. Her 0.39 goals against average are also tops in the MIAA and ranks seventh in Division II. The Jens rank first in the MIAA in goals against average, and ninth in Division II with 0.43 goals allowed per game.
• The Jennies are seventh in Division II in shutout percentage with a .667 percentage. UCM has recorded shutouts in 14 of their 21 games this year.
• The Jens have only given up nine goals all season. The record for the fewest goals allowed in a season is nine, which was set in 1998. The least amount of goals allowed in a season under coach Theobald is 11, which was accomplished by the 2010 team.
