MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- Central Missouri Mules Golf is in a tie for sixth place after the first day of the NSU Men's Classic Monday, Sept. 16 at Muskogee Country Club. The Mules posted a team score 573 (288,285) for the first 36-holes of the 54-hole event. No. 19-ranked Henderson State currently leads the event at 13-under par.
The Mules were led by sophomore
CJ Phillips (71,69) and freshman
Lawson Barks (71,69), who currently share a tie for 11th with a 32-hole score total of 2-under par (140).
Next for the Mules was junior
Nick Fallin (76,71) who is tied for 49th with a 32-hole score total of 147 (+5), following close behind, redshirt senior
Calvin Dillon (72,76) is tied for 61st with a 32-hole score total of 148 (+6).
Rounding out the Mules scoring was junior
Jack Hope, who is tied for 73rd. Hope shot a three-over par 74, but carded a second round of 76 (+5) to end the day at 8-over par (150).
The Mules will play the final round of the event Tuesday, Sept. 17.
